PAINTING (Wii U described)

The Painting screen is the core area of SDK Paint. It is here that all artwork is created or modified.

By default, the left side of the Wii U GamePad screen contains the main canvas area, where the direct touch screen stylus interaction paints the picture. To the right is a collection of icons, which change modes, apply filters, switch layers, and more. The color palette also resides to the right. It is possible to choose a color on it by tapping, dragging, or using the small Dropper icon.

There are 7 modes, which handle all direct interaction with the canvas area. These modes are: Normal Paint, Noise Paint, Spray Can, Smudge, Eraser, Drag, and Dropper.

There are 5 layers to the canvas area. The active layer receives all interaction from modes and filters, whether it is visible or not.
